No matter the age or performance level, you horse needs proper dental care to perform at its best and stay healthy. All dentals and dental exams are performed under sedation with a full mouth speculum. If a dental is required, a powered dental float is used to reduce the length of time the horse remains sedated and to improve the overall dental procedure.

An ounce of prevention.... At QRVS, we recommend an annual exam on all our equine patients. During this exam, many potential health problems can be detected and possibly prevented. Your horse will also be evaluated for body condition status and have its teeth checked. This will help maintain or establish an ideal weight for your horse. A vaccination protocol customized for your horse will be given during this exam. If requested a fecal egg count and/or deworming can be performed at this time. Blood work and Coggins testing are available through an outside lab.

From abscesses to joint injections, we have your horses covered. A complete lameness workup including blocks is available to diagnosis and determine proper treatment for the disorder. On farm radiographs are now available!!!

A new horse purchase can be a gamble, help put the odds in your favor with a pre-purchase exam. We will evaluate the horse for lameness/soundness and give a full physical exam to give you the most complete information to assist in your purchase decision. Radiographs will not be taken for the pre-purchase exam. If radiographs are required referral will be necessary

QRVS offers several field surgeries for your horses including : standing and lateral castrations, caslicks application and removal, hernia repair and laceration repair.

With our portable ultrasound machine, we can diagnosis pregnancy in your mares as early as 14 days. As a bonus our ultrasound screen is large enough you can seen your future foal as well!
